2010-12-17 - professional market centre, Fulda

We have succeeded in persuading an other general contractor of our efficiency. We win the Köster GmbH in Osnabrück as a new customer.
The area of the old listed enamelling works in Fulda becomes new-formed. By this way here originates a new professional market centre. Our order is to provide an expanded metal facade at the new parts of the building. The used mesh type is LUCERNA.

2010-03-22 - Rosenquartier Hannover

In the middle of the centre of Hannover, not far from the historical central station, an attractive complex of buildings originated last year. In this a new multi-storey car park which receives a facade of expanded metal now as a crowning end is integrated. After several constructive talks with the owner, the Rosenquartier Grundstückgesellschaft, as well as the architect HPP from Leipzig could win Metallbau Bonrath the order for itself. As already with the multi-storey car park Rhine halls in Cologne HPP has planned modern facade optics with expanded metal also here again.

The use of the complex of buildings exists of retail trade, offices and an InterCity hotel of the Steigenberger-Group.

2009-09-22 - Expanded metal at the Rheinpark-Center

The old Huma shopping centre in Neuss is currently receiving a facelift. The remodelling and renovation measures are at full speed to meet the deadline for the opening next year. The work is being performed in two construction phases and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010.

Metallbau Bonrath GmbH received the commission to take part in the reconstruction measures and is significantly involved in the design of the new façades of the Rheinpark-Centers. A good ventilation system coupled with a creative high-quality façade design is called for. Hence, expanded metal is applied in large areas of the building’s facade.

2009-08-24 - Nomination for top apprenticing company 2009

Taking on trainees and apprentices is an important part of human resource development at Metallbau Bonrath. Thus, offering an apprenticeship training program for metal workers has been part of our company policy for more than 30 years. On numerous occasions our trainees achieved top grades in professional bodies and federal state exams, and reached 8th place in a national competition.

This year, Metallbau Bonrath GmbH has been nominated “Top Apprenticing Company 2009” by the foundation „Pro Duale Ausbildung der Handwerkskammer zu Köln“ (Pro Dual Training by The Guild of Master Craftsmen, Cologne)  in the category „Above-average Commitment in Apprenticing, Coupled with Excellent Apprenticeship Results” for their training efforts.

Out of a pool of 100 applicants, five companies from three categories were nominated. This year’s laureate in the category “excellent apprenticeship results” was the hairdressing company Margit Schwarz from Wipperfürth.

2006-09-25 - Design registered with the German Patient Office

As we progress, our specialisation in expanded metal processing is steadily deepening.  Hence, it is not surprising that technical innovations are, amongst other things, the result of our solution-finding processes, which constantly require a new approach. After numerous discussions and extensive preparatory work, we were able to register the utility model of our slats with expanded metal fillings as protection against sun, light and glare with the German Patent Office in Munich (no 20 2005 008 622.3).

Expanded metal facades become more and more popular

We are pleased to count Germany’s largest construction company among our customers. HOCHTIEF Construction AG, Fuldabrück has awarded Metallbau Bonrath GmbH the contract for the manufacture of expanded metal and trailing elements for the shopping centre Schloss-Arkaden in Braunschweig. Preparations and production are in full swing.

In addition, the City of Flensburg commissioned Metallbau Bonrath GmbH in association with Loharens GmbH with the construction of an expanded metal facade with elaborate steel substructure of about 2,000 m2 for the wastewater treatment plant in Flensburg. During the planning phase, we had been given the opportunity to advise the City of Flensburg in expanded metal processing techniques and, after submitting our tender as bidding consortium, were fortunate to be awarded the commission.  The schedule is very tight, thus requiring a highly efficient organisation and optimised logistics to meet the scheduled deadline in early November of this year.
